Clive Peter Reeve is a British painter and sculptor. Born in London, he lives and works on the South coast of England.
During the 80's, Clive's early work reflected his passion for Punk polemics and the subversive illustrations of the underground press with his cartoons and graphics featuring in various Fanzine publications of the time.
Outside his portraiture commissions his private painted work is eclectic, diverse, full of visual impact and subtle symbolism and reflects his combined passion for propaganda imagery and the native elements of classic British Pop art. Expect to find Images of Teddy Bears busy with coy subversion next to the Iconography of Power and European history. Humour and reflective social comment reside in all his works.
